Heat Advisory

A Heat Advisory is in effect until noon tomorrow from the National Weather Service, affecting most of lower Michigan.  The only counties in the blog not affected by the advisory currently are Branch & Hillsdale.

- Hot & humid conditions will persist thru Wednesday.
- Air temperatures will climb well into the 90's.
- Heat Index values will be near 100 degrees, some areas could exceed 100, primarily between 1 and 6 PM.
- Nighttime relief will be minimal, as temperatures will only roll back into the mid 70's with high humidity still in place.
- Heat exhaustion and heat stroke can occur if extra precautions are not taken, know the signs & symptoms.

* Limit time spent outdoors if possible.
* If you must be outside, drink plenty of fluids and wear light, loose fitting clothing.
* Try to schedule strenuous activity for early morning the evening.
