Storm Update 8 PM EDT

My thanks to Ben Kouchnerkavich of Southwest Michigan Weather for his help and covering the South Central Michigan Weather Zone until I was able to get back from high school baseball and get up to speed.

Still some strong thunderstorms in the area off to the north, and the severe threat is not done - plenty of quality air for storms to get a foothold in as they travel across Michigan this evening.  Have a look at the radar:

The good news is that while these storms are strong, no question, they are not sever at the moment.  That could change though, we will keep an eye on it for you here!  Eagle, DeWitt, St. Johns, be prepared - We are watching a storm closely on the velocity product, it's suspicious:
