This Looks More Like Spring!

Good Morning!

Clouds and raindrops in the area, and a crack at some severe weather.  Let's have a look and see what's under the hood:

SEVERE WEATHER POSSIBLE LATER:  The Storm Prediction Center has us under the standard slight risk for some sever weather later on this afternoon.  They indicate that some supercell thunderstorms are possible initially, but then we should see a fairly organized line of storms.  Have a look at this graphic:

Pretty much the whole blog excepting places like Ovid, Elsie and Owosso are in the risk.

RAINY RIGHT NOW UP NORTH:  If you look at the radar pretty quiet here, but plenty of showers and storms to be had as you get north of Mt. Pleasant...

The rain up there dissipates and then our turn comes later on.  After that, clearing skies and seasonably nice weather.

SEASONABLE DAYS, COOL NIGHTS:  The good news, we finally get to where we should be weather wise this time of year, and we hold that pattern for the next week.  Today and tonight is the best organized chances of rain that I see, and as far as temperatures, we don't dip below 68 for daytime highs according to the forecast data I'm looking at right now.  Here's a look at readings across the nation right now:

This map is the temperature plot for the US as of about 8:45 AM EDT.  You see where the yellowish shading indicates the warmer air.  There's some moisture in that air being blown up here from the Gulf, and that's where you'll see the showers and storms fire at later today.

Looking ahead, we clear the skies tomorrow afternoon, keep that trend going, and see plenty of sunshine for the weekend with readings in 74-83 range.  Great stuff!

Here's the forecast:

Today - Cloudy, breezy, scattered to numerous afternoon showers and thunderstorms, some could be severe, high 74.  Wind SSE 8-15 MPH.

Tonight - More of today, some lingering showers or a thunderstorm, mild, lows roll back to 61. Winds SE 7-14 MPH.

Hump Day - Cloudy skies to begin, slow late day clearing.  Still the chance of a few scattered showers or a buried thunderstorm.  Warmer, high 80.  Wind SW 6-12 MPH.

That's a look at the next couple of days for you.  I will work on the six day planner as time permits today.  Have a great one!  Blessings.
