Weekend Outlook...

Good Afternoon!

Let's start off this forecast by owning up to a bust right out of the gate.  I predicted mainly cloudy skies with perhaps a peek of sun.  Looks like things unfolded the opposite way, with skies being mostly sunny and a coupld of passing clouds throughout the area.  I'll take that bust anytime.  Have a look at the visible satellite image…

As you can see, a lot of blue sky around here, but some clouds in the north zone of the blog, no huge deal though...

SHOPPING WEATHER:  Plenty of sun for the taking if you're in the south zone of the blog.  More clouds to contend with north, I expect these to perhaps thin a bit but not totally go away.  Temperatures will react accordingly.  You'll see things a touch warmer along and south of say, I-94.  North of the interstate things will be a couple degrees cooler.  Temperatures in the sunshine are anywhere from 28-32 at this hour, and in the clouds, still in the low 20's.

LOOKING AHEAD:  At the moment, forecast data is in agreement that we stay fairly quiet through the weekend, AFTER we see some flurries or light snow tonight.  I would be shocked to see anything much beyond a half inch in this part of Michigan, but to the north and west of the blog area, they'll see another inch or so of new snow.  After that, quiet until the middle of next week, when it looks like a decent sized storm system lines us up for a shot of snow, followed by some more cold air as the freezer door is wide open from Canada.

Here's the forecast:

Today, mainly sunny south, clouds north, highs depend on sunshine.  High 36 south, 31 north, winds calm to NW 5 MPH.

Tonight, clouds thicken, developing flurries or even some light snow, lows near 23.  Winds NW 5-10 MPH.

Saturday, periods of clouds and sun, warmer, highs near 40.  Wind WSW 5-10 MPH.

Tomorrow night, cloudy, some light snow possible, areas that see flakes should see a dusting to a half-inch at most, low near 23.

There's a look at your forecast.  I do retail and it is Black Friday, we'll try to crank out a six day planner for you time permitting.  Have a good one!
