Warming Up - Maybe Some Rain?

Good Evening!

Man I just can't seem to get fully caught up with everything, trying to get setlled and back on the feet is proving to be quite a challenge.  Oh well.

One thing that isn't proving to be a challenge is enjoying some of this gorgeous late summer weather with just a hint of fall in the mornings.  Temperatures in the mid to upper 70's the last several days with nighttime lows in the 50's and low humidity have made it quite enjoyable, along with the lack of rain.

WARMER WEEKEND AHEAD:  Taking a look into the weekend, tomorrow is shaping up to be warm, with temperatures into the 80's, and the possibility of a couple of scattered showers or thunderstorms as a surface front sags southward tomorrow afternoon.  If you're on the south side of the front, expect highs anywhere from 82 to 87, with readings dropping back into the 70's as the system works through the area.

THE MENTION OF SOME RAIN:  I have said and will continue to say, that models don't do well forecasting summer convection.  Especially when all it takes a little bit of difference in how much sun a place sees to determine whether there will be showers or not.  Looking at the forecast data, the computers are split on whether we see anything here.  As a result, we'll add in the mention of about a 3 in 10 crack at some showers with perhaps a lone thunderstorm or two, and the best chance for that will be after about 3 PM EDT.  I can't get much more specific than that.  Perhaps we'll get lucky and the models may be able to bracket an area for us with the next run.

A QUICK TEMPERATURE ROLLBACK:  After we get through tomorrow, we see some cooling in temperatures as readings roll back into the upper 70's, but don't get used to that.  It looks like our Indian Summer may be in effect, with readings pushing 90 by mid week, along with some better chances at more showers and storms.

FOOTBALL WEATHER:  You may have to deal with just a lone shower if you're partaking of the night game at the Big House in Ann Arbor as the University of Michigan Wolverines battle the Fightin' Irish of Notre Dame.  The kickoff is set for 8 PM and game time should have some scattered clouds and a temperature around 78 degrees.  The early game is up in East Lansing as Michigan State does battle with the South Florida Bulls at high noon.  The temperature should be around 74 under mainly clear skies.

Here's a look at the forecast for Jackson and vicinity:

Tonight, mainly clear, some high clouds, comfortable, lows near 58, wind SSW 4-7 MPH.

Tomorrow, sunny to start with some increasing clouds, a late afternoon shower or isolated storm can't be ruled out, high 83, wind SW 5-10 MPH.

Tomorrow night, becoming cloudy, a better chance of scattered showers or a couple of hit and run thunderstorms, lows near 60.  Wind SW 4-8 MPH, turning NE 5-10 as the surface front drops through.

Sunday, sunny skies, much cooler, high 75.

There's a look at your forecast, have a wonderful evening!  Blessings.
