Quick Look For Saturday

Good Morning!

As expected, we have temperatures in the 20's and some light snow falling in the area at this hour.  We will keep that around until early afternoon, then see it slowly start to wind down.  The accumulation totals still look good, with about an inch and a half of new snow on the high side.  The snow did manage to migrate further north than it originally looked like it would, so the north zone of the blog will get a taste of this as well.  I expect that totals should remain around half to three-quarters of an inch of new snowfall in that part of the world.  Take a look at this radar still image:

Detroit NEXRAD Radar
Here you see the snow that is currently impacting us. I chose to show you the Detroit image as it is seeing better than the Grand Rapids radar right now.  Precipitation chances drop off for Sunday and Monday, and then it looks like we ring in the New Year with clouds and some more snow.

Here's my forecast for today:

I hope that you have a great Saturday!  Blessings.
