THUNDERSTORM ADVISORY - JACKSON, HILLSDALE, WASHTENAW, LENAWEE

NOTE:  At this time, NO OFFICIAL WARNING FOR THESE STORMS HAS BEEN ISSUED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.   That being said - Jackson, Washtenaw, Hillsdale, Lenawee - get ready for some strong storms moving from SW to NE about 40-50 MPH.  Hillsdale and south Jackson, the storms are there, Washtenaw and Lenawee, expect them in about an hour unless they weaken as they come north.  Gusty winds and pea-sized hail have been associated with these storms recently.  Have a look:

Be prepared to head into a substantial structure until these guys blow through!

Plenty Of Advisories...

As I advertised earlier, there's a lot of weather information in effect, let's run it down:

FLOOD WARNING - Clinton, Shiawassee, Ingham Counties - Until 8 AM April 14th.  Rivers in these counties are expected to reach flood stage and exceed that level by as much as a foot, due to a stationary front dropping significant rain over the area the next three days.

FLOOD WATCH - Jackson, Calhoun, Eaton, Lenawee, Livingston, Washtenaw Counties - Until 8 PM Thursday April 11th.  The stationary front mentioned in the warning above will, of course, increase the risk of flooding in these counties as well.  Do not be surprised to see flood warnings post for additional areas as time passes.

A stationary front bringing showers and the occasional thunderstorm is parked just south of us, over central Illinois and Indiana.  Showers and thunderstorms are firing and traveling northeast from where the boundary is.  We expect this to persist over the next couple of days.

Stay tuned.  Also check weather.gov and local media for watches/warnings.

HIGH WIND ADVISORY

Hello.  Every county in the blog is under a High Wind Advisory until 9PM EDT.  This is for winds gusting to 45 MPH associated with the passage of an upper impulse.

Secure anything you don't want blown around or away, and watch for power lines to be downed.  High Profile vehicles may be difficult to drive, use caution.
