Hello Everyone!
This is the start of what I hope will be something fun for me and useful for you, the reader, especially if you live in my part of the world. I have enjoyed science and weather for a long time, but life has a way of sometimes making you forget what you enjoyed in your younger years. This is my way of coming back to that. In addition to forecasts, you'll see off topic rants and observations occasionally. The 1st Amendment is a beautiful thing!
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a certified meteorologist, though I aspire to become one. The forecasts I write are not just snagged from the National Weather Service webpage or any other website, but are written after consulting various weather information sources available in the public domain. I enjoy trying to "beat the forecaster" for fun, as well as for expanding my knowledge. If you need "official" weather information, that should come from the National Weather Service. However, I will sometimes re-broadcast/re-tweet information that comes from them, especially related to extreme weather, and watches or warnings.
This is my first blog, and I will be figuring out things and playing with/tweaking others as I go. Bear with me. Now relax and enjoy the ride. I think this should be fun!
