The entire South Central Michigan Weather Zone is under a High Wind Advisory from the National Weather Service. We're between a stalled high pressure area to the west and Hurricane Sandy to the east. You can see the full text of the advisory at weather.gov. Here's the summary of it.
- Sustained 15-25 MPH northerly winds
- This is expected to be a long-duration high wind situation
- Gusts up to 60 MPH possible
- Sustained 20-30 MPH winds tomorrow
- Difficult travel for high-profile vehicles
- Power outages due to winds damaging power grid infrastructure
